Growing up in a small community deeply connected to mining and forestry, I developed a strong love for nature and its resources. With over 7 years in the industry, I’m proud to hold certifications as a Certified Arborist and a Forestry Ecosystem Management Technician in Ontario.
My journey has allowed me to work closely with NAN (Nishnawbe Aski Nation) and other northern First Nation communities, where I’ve had the privilege of training indigenous youth in forestry skills and chainsaw safety. It’s not just a job for me; it’s a way to give back to my people. By immersing myself in forestry activities, I aim to support the upcoming generation of indigenous youth, helping them discover and achieve their full potential. Together, let’s build a brighter future for our communities and the precious natural resources we cherish

In Oji-Cree, Mitigoog means "Trees," and our motto is "Starting at the Roots." My solution is to bring tree services, training and knowledge to communities where people have deep roots, as well as to work on developing the capacity of youth within those communities."- Angus McCrady
Mitigoog Solutions Inc. was founded with a deep connection to First Nations communities in Northern Ontario, providing specialized training in sawmilling, tree harvesting, and safe work practices. Our name and logo reflect the close relationship Indigenous peoples have with Mother Nature, emphasizing the forest’s role in our culture, economy, and environment. Trees provide heat, building materials, medicine, and support biodiversity, while also creating educational and economic opportunities. By working from the roots up, we strengthen communities and plan for a sustainable future.
